Bayeux Wall Tapestry

The Bayeux Tapestry is a famous historical tapestry preserved and displayed in Bayeux, France. It is a long hanging consisting in embroidered figures and inscriptions about the conquest of England. The real tapestry is over 70 meters long and is actually an embroidery stitched in woolen yarns on linen. Whilst you will have to visit Normandy in France to see the original, there are many replicas of the Bayeux tapestry available to buy – a great historical addition to your home.
